The Inside- Out: A Healthy Diet
It doesn’t matter which hair care products you use on your hair strands. What matters is what you put inside your body! Indulge in a healthy diet full of all nutritious categories such as proteins, vitamins, minerals, etc. Eat foods like fish, nuts, eggs, milk and fruits.
The point is to provide nourishment to your hair from the inside. If your hair strands are not strong enough, how will they bear styling?
Massaging the scalp is the key! Massaging stimulates the blood circulation, which helps the hair regain its strength and shine. Secondly, massaging prevents the dust particles from settling deep into the scalp which ultimately result in dandruff and other unhealthy scalp issues.
The method is to massaging the head every night before sleeping in an upside down position. Simply rest your head hanging from the side of the bed and massage for at least 7- 10 minutes. Voila! Brush away, tie them up and snooze!

- Olive Oil
- Sunflower Oil
- Black Seed Oil
- Castor Oil

Hair Washing Tips
Everyone washes their hair, but are you doing it right?
- Always use cold water, never hot water. The cold water can allow the open pores in your head to lock down and prevent the strands from getting washed away.
- After bath/shower, use a T-shirt instead of a towel to dry your hair. If you don’t have a spare T-shirt, be gentle when wrapping the towel around your hair. Remember not to shake the towel as this can cause split ends.
- Never brush wet hair. Wait for them to dry naturally for at least 20 minutes.
Do you own a hair dryer and a straightener? Well, be sure to use it properly. Hair appliances are great to use for styling our hair but are they worth it? The point is to use them when necessary only. Over-usage of these hot steaming products can damage our hair strands from the core.
If you just took a shower, allow your hair to dry naturally under the fan or outside in the sun for at least 20 minutes before you use a dryer. Always use heat protection serums or creams before you use hot appliances.
As for the straightener, never forget to use the heat protector prior usage. Never leave the straightener in one spot. This can burn your hair.
Sleeping and Hair
In the older days, women used to wrap up their hair in net bandanas before sleeping. This would prevent the hair strands from rubbing onto the pillow case and prevented from split ends.
The key to healthy hair is the care we offer. Tie up your hair in a braid before you sleep.
While these were the core tips for long hair, try as many as you can daily and witness the results within weeks!
